Skillet Round Steak

 

1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)

1 1/2 lb

beef round steak, thinly sliced onion, chopped
1 onion, chopped
14 1/2 oz beef broth
1/2 lb mushrooms, sliced
1 large red bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp corn starch
1/4 cup water

Directions:

Preparation: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add steak and onion and cook 5-7 minutes, or until browned, stirring occasionallly. Add beef broth, mushrooms, bell peppers, worcestershire sauce, slat and black pepper, mix well. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer 30 minutes. In a small bowl, combine water and cornstarch; mix well. Addd to the skillet and cook 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
